I was wondering of this replacement would work. It says it is for the g73jh but it isn't backlit. Wondering if that makes a difference since my keyboard should have 2 ribbon cable connections. And this keyboard will only have 1 ribbon cable since it isn't backlit.

The small ribbon is only for the backlight. As long as the pin arrangement on the cable is the same, the keyboard will work.

Ok thanks. I was looking at a disassembly video and the backlight can be screwed on the new keyboard. Hopefully that will work.
