I've come to an impasse here. For the next couple of weeks, I'm expecting to put my g73 under a heavy work load over the night.

I work the days as a environment designer and lay out the skeletal framework, backdrops, and set pieces during the day and was expecting to render everything in the night on my g73.

Unfortunately, I discovered that my g73 commonly locks up overnight. I turn off the screen with FN + F7, and 8 hours later discover that it's always unresponsive or locked up. The only thing I can really tell from the machine, is the fan operates at a very low frequency and the service panel is very cool which leads me to believe that perhaps the machine devolts itself to a state where it's inoperable?

This is extremely annoying as I really don't want to spend more time than I already do on working during the day, even more as to I do not want to render during the free time I allot myself. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 11.1~11.5 drivers, reflashed my bios to 209, removed and installed microsoft framework packages.

If anyone has experienced anything like this, I'd love to know your workaround.

I've set it to never sleep, display, turn off HD, and even dim display.

    Yes, running in high performance.

if you have microsoft silverlight, uninstall it. I had this problem till I removed silverlight, but have no other reason to blame silverlight other than removing it coincided with my problem going away

I've taken all the advice, I'll test it for a few minutes.
