This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology

    I installed this no problems. I'm sure this will be of interest for some of you, but I haven't done anything with it other than install it. Maybe someone can see if they setup raid with it or something. Supposed to add a layer of security/protection I believe. Optimize for power and performance also, so even if you can't enable RAID might be of use?

    Additional info: G51vx also supports RST as well. RST will work on all Series 4 Intel chipsets.

    Old news for those of us with Intel SSDs and 5-series chipsets...the TRIM stuff is handled with the new RST driver so the utility isn't necessary :)
