    As the title indicates I bought a new battery for my G73JH, the original one was not lasting very long. The new one works fine but if I try and boot up the machine with no external power plugged in the machine will not start. Once the machine is booted up I can remove the external power supply and the machine will operate normally.

    I tried booting up on the old original equipment battery and it worked fine. I guess the bargain knock off battery I purchased is defective. Has anyone got a recommendation for a good quality replacement? Or maybe I should by an Asus one... Thanks

    If you want to play it safe, shell out for the Asus battery.

    definitely dont buy anything other than asus battery if you ask me
