This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Yes, it has been confirmed in the G73 thread, not all resellers will carry the A2 model though as the only differnce is the Blu ray drive replaced by a regular DVD Optical drive.

    most have the option to downgrade to a dvd burner, however.

    Thats what confused me, most resellers already have an option to have the blu-ray removed.

    Perhaps Asus wanted to have the less expensive model more visible to everyday consumers. 1500 makes it even more tempting than the already amazing 1630.

    One pre-order incoming :)
