I have a few questions that I thought I'd ask here. Where exactly does the intake air for the fans come from, bottom or top? Previous posts talk of top, under the monitor somewhere, but seem fairly vague to me. There doesn't seem to be any pull from under the beast in the area of the ram, but I can't say for sure.
The owners manual that came in the box (same as on the asus site) is about as poor as any I have ever come across. Is there any other source I could go to for information concerning this laptop. This site seems to be the best choice thus far.

Lastly, there is an led light on the left, next to the escape key with 2 pictures of a lock, with the bottom one being lit. What do these locks represent?

This is a great site and thank you one and all.

We already established where the main intake for the air is.

Its behind the base of the LCD, where the blue line of light is. The rest on the base of the laptop are ventilation slots, and those two huge vents on the back are the exhausts.
