Any way to turn the sub off? It sounds like crap and rattles every time there is some bass. I would be happier with just the 2 front speakers.
I wouldn't doubt that the scumbags at Asus made the only possible way is to disconnect the wires from inside. I can't find any setting to turn it off. I uninstalled the THX and the Realtek driver and the piece of garbage still keeps playing. It wouldnt be too bad if I could control the volume of the sub. Thanks

It's controled by the creative sound and can be turned off or adjust to lower levels.

Where can I find this creative sound? I only see creative thx studio and allchemy and neither have settings for the sub I can see.

I just had some luck with the thx studio. I changed from laptop speakers to either external speakers or headphone. This tones the
subwoofer down quite a bit and brings out more treble. Still not having real control where I can set the sub but I think this will work.
