    What is wrong with this $1900 laptop???

    This should NOT be happening.I did not buy a $1000 flapper...

    I am about to consider/buy a G74sx...but... I'm annoyed as hell with this flop...

    I am still running strong on a $2000 Compaq,6 YEARS OLD....!!!!!!!!!!!

    NEVER A PROBLEM....!!!!!

    ASUS live update is a DISGRACE....

    So now that you vented your fustration I assume from your topic that you have a Blue Screen Of Death. Care to endulge further?

    P.s You dont need Asus update you need Chastity Driver Reference.

    Do you have the firmware/BIOS upgrades for that model and it's GPU? The Radeon GPU in it had issues at first, though they were supposedly resolved (eventually) with a firmware update.

    Doh! You're right, it's the jh that had the GPU that needs a firmware fix. jw was its successor that uses a GTX 460 which should work.
