I'm so hyped that the game is finally going to be released May 15.
That said, was just wondering whether anybody ever had the joy of testing out the beta on the G74 - and if so, how does it perform? At what resolution and frame rate?
Thanks!

Diablo 3 from every video I've seen has incredibly basic graphics and should run perfectly fine maxed out. That said, I'm not a BETA tester, but knowing the way Blizzard does things it will be released to run well on as much old hardware as possible.
I don't think a G74 will have ANYTHING to worry about. Heck, even the GIMPED G74s will probably be able to max out settings for D3. -
If i had to take a guess, i'd say it will run at something like SC2 would. That means that on low it'll run on a supped up toaster and should run somewhere between high and max on the G74.

It run on the M11X R1 fluently from what i read on the specific M11X forum, so assuming it's just a 1.70 Ghrtz dual core with GT335M , G74 should have absolutly no problem performing well.
Blizzard understood years ago that if games runs on every PC , they will sell way more games. -

On both my desktop (i7, 16gb ram, GTX580) and G74SX I had some lag.
I'm hoping this is due to beta code and will not reflect in the release -
The G74SX will laugh in Diablo III's face.

Should run really well, id say even easier than SC2 since it wont get near those 200/200 food armies and not as much AI going on in the background I wouldn't think (depending on coding)
SC2 does AI for everything on screen or not, D3 from what was said from Devs once upon a time only renders what is on screen and just outside your immediate view, so that should be a huge reduction in CPU overhead, and the graphics themselves while very pretty are not ultra high poly count models or effects that would demand much of a high end GPU. -
My G73JH runs the Diablo3 beta perfect with everything maxed at 1920x1080.
Yes sometimes it lags, but this is due to server lag...it has to be because it isnt only when alot happens, it can lag anytime and be fine at other times. -

Very nice! Sounds like the consensus is that D3 should be able to be played beautifully on the 74SX!

you sure it's not internet lag?
