    Another thing that I haven't really used doesn't seem to be working.

    Is there a specific driver I need for this?

    If it is like the G73 I have you need to install a BLU-RAY player software.
    Are you looking for free or paid?
    Have you tried more than 1 Blu-Ray?
    Wow, are there any issues playing CD's ? (maybe the optical drive is faulty)

    I've already tried both free and trial versions and neither seem to be able to play the disc.
