I`m using Asus G73Sw and I get like 78C - 80C GPU temperature when playing new games at Full Hd and highest details. (My room temperature is 82F)
I heard that Asus made something revolutionary on G74s and their GPU temperature never even reach 70C under full load!!!
Is that correct? Can someone who uses G74 confirm this?
Well, if that`s correct, I wish I had bought G74 instead of G73 just for the temperature issue, I feel my laptop is melting slowly.
Thank you...

78-80C isnt really high for any sort of concern. I don't own a G74 so I don't know if the claims of 70C on full-load is really true.
Maybe in games, but no chance with Furmark or OCCT. -
I have a G74 , with no overclock at all you never reach 70° ...

Mine are like these;
The Witcher 2: OC to 828 core/ 1728 memory (9.1 volts) at 1080p Ultra-ish setting minus uber sampling, AA, SSAO, Bloom, DOF Gameplay. 76-78* C after 4 hrs. of gaming. 30-50 FPS.
Metro 2033: OC at 828 core / 1728 memory (9.1 volts) at 1080p, DX11, Normal setting, No Tesselation, No DOF. 76*C after 4 hrs. of gaming. 30-70 FPS
Crysis 2: OC at 810 core / 1683 memory (9.1 volts) at 1080p, DX11, High Resolution Textures, High/Very High Graphic setting. 80* C after 4 hrs. of gaming. 30-50 FPS.
Dragon Age Origins and Awakening: OC to 775-800 core / 1400-1600 memory, at 1080p Ultra graphic setting. 73-76* C after 4 hrs. of gaming. 30-60 FPS. -
Seriously, you don't have to worry dude. The G74 runs cooler for two reasons, changes to cooling design and the 560m probably runs slightly cooler than the 460m as well. When you start to hit GPU temps of 95-100, then you can start to worry.

i have a G73 and my gpu never goes over 65C under any kind of load. its always at 64C undewr heavy load. and it runs really cool when idle.

Those temperatures under full load are actually normal for that unit. You don't need to start worrying about the temps unless it starts getting into the 90-100 range. The G73 is one of the most efficient machines as far as cooling is concerned, so you are good on that. Monitor those temps, however, and if you start getting higher then you might take a look at a thermal repaste or something of that nature.
