So I have had my G74 for just over a month and the touchpad is just useless. It will jump around like it is possessed or be unresponsive. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the sentelic driver and messing with all the settings but nothing helps. It isnt really a huge issue, 98% of the time I would just use my mouse anyways, but on the rare occasion that I would need to use the touchpad it would be nice to be able to. I have a 3 year warranty but I really dont want to send it in to get fixed or get a new one because I need it every day for school, so is there anything I can do at home to fix this problem?

I thought these were issues only on the G73JHs? ever since they made that change on the G73JWs it looked it had been cured. Hmmm

Alternatively you could try the Synaptics drivers, they work on the Sentellic devices.

Take off the silver tape behind your touchpad.
    It worked for me.

Take it to a local Asus Service Provider, and have them open it up and remove the silver tape AND GLUE around or on the touchpad.
