Ok, so im really getting fed up with this touchpad, but whatever. I have had the laptop for about 2 months and the touchpad started acting weird after a few days of using it. Jumping around the screen and not working half the time, it was completely unusable. I was told to take the laptop back and get them to open it and take out some tape. Well I need my laptop for school every day so I can't go without it just to fix a touchpad that I can live without. Today I see a new sentelic driver is out and I got a bit hopeful. I installed the new driver and 90% of the problems I had with the touchpad are gone. It actually is useable now, so I guess it was a driver problem and not tape. But of course I have a new problem, the touchpad wont disable. fn+f9 wont disable it, and if i check the box to disable while an external mouse is plugged in it wont disable either.

Does anyone know of another way to disable this stupid touchpad? I would like to keep a working driver so I can use it, but if there is no way I can disable it I will be forced to go back to the old driver just so I can turn this damn thing off.

Thats the one I installed. 9.1.7.7

When I press fn+f9 it just says enabled over and over. I even updated the ATK package as someone had suggested in a different thread, made no difference.

Ok so I uninstalled and reinstalled the same 9.1.7.7 drivers and it seems to disable now. Guess it was just some weird bug with the first installation. Nice to finally have a working touchpad.
