    Hello !

I'd be glad to ear from you , what kind of settings are you using on Crysis 2 with G74 ?

I have the 17" Full HD ver , so i can't use 1600*900 resolution , and 1920*1080 feels a bit laggy compared to 1366*768 wich is amazingly well ( 60 FPS all the time i think ) , but the game is a bit blurry. I'd rather play at 1920 , but even if the FPS are decent , they're some kind of " mouse lag " that came with it , and i feel that i'm less good at the game.

So a little Pol , what kind of settings are you using ? 1920*1080 everything on low ( wich is called high in the game , lol ) , or 1366*768 with everything on Extreme / ultra ? Vsync ?

Anybody here overclocked the GTX560 to have better performance in Crysis ?

    Thanks :)

I've played with 1600*900 on a 1080p screen MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY times.

    Including Crysis 2.

How did you choose that resolution ? The game didn't ask for it ( the only one i have is 1600*1024 or something , and the ratio is bad )

Is this is trick question? I go to options, video and choose 1600*900. That's it.

No trick around no , that resolution doesn't appear in the list.

Btw i just checked windows , seems that my screen didn't accept that resolution neither. But that's why the game don't ask me for it.

Oh if you want the 1600x900 to apear on it while you are running it on a 1080p screen. You are gonna have to modify the nvam.inf. I have also modified mine, you can use it if you want (285.27 beta).

Copy it to the folder "Display.Driver" and overwrite the nvam.inf (This file is for version 285.27 beta!!! Get it from Nvdia's main site!!!) and then run the setup.exe again.

    Thanks !

If it's possible for the screen to show that resolution , why windows nor the game ask me for it ?

Because it is not in the 1080p default screen profile provided by NVIDIA. So you have to modify the driver to make the games and the windows OS think that the 1600x900 res is one of the default resolutions.

    Thanks for your answer !

I made a few research on what was the Nvam , and i found an easier way : Nvidia control panel , change resolution , custom resolution , 1600*900 :)

Launched Crysis 2 without even rebooting the laptop , and the resolution was here. The game is now still 55 - 60 FPS , but less blurry than 1366*768 :)

It's quite amazing the difference between 1600*900 on wich i can put Vsync , and many effect higher than " high " ( lol ) , and at 1920*1080 everything on the lowest setting and Vsync off i can't get a decent framerate ( i mean , no lag outside , no mouse delay etc .)

    Thanks anyway ;)
