No, it's not by her choice, corporate rules at Asus. She'll probably be back some time though.

Not until they've had what the company considers proper training: Until Further Notice. I would venture that there are probably some legal issues that could arise if a non trained asus employee offers tech support. There is also the company policy to go by. It is like that with any large corporation, regardless of the field they are in.

Seriously. It's not rocket science. , it's barely even elementery school science. The Fn button is there for a reason. You would think some decently paid tech dude at Asus would say to himself "hey, lets make this button work as a duel calculator/numlock button". Nope, instead they probably think "hey, when is lunch?"

BIOS 203 is currently set up with NumLock On state by default, and holding Shift down allows the keys to register as NumLock Off.

Still not a perfect fix for Gamers, but it's being addressed.

I am playing DC Universe Online and my fly fast ability is only activate-able by pushing L3 on a gamepad (don't have or want one) or the Numlock key on the keyboard. Is there a update now that turns the calculator key into a numlock key? Otherwise I'm ed here.

Hey, I am new here just created an account so maybe I could get some help with this problem I'm having with my new ASUS G74SX. Yesterday I updated the BIOS (or tried too) to the new version 203. I used WINflash which I also downloaded from the ASUS support website along with the new BIOS and flashed it. Followed all the instructions and it all seemed to be fine, shut itself down and waited for a minute or so before eagerly turning it back on. Which never happened. When I press the power button the lights go on (the power button light, capslock and such lights) but the screen remains completely blank.

Any advice would be much appreciated. :)

Hey thanks for the swift reply. :) I've sent it in to my local ASUS service centre where they say they will be replacing the motherboard. D: Fingers crossed they have it fixed by next week. Thanks for the advice ill try that method if I ever get brave enough to touch my BIOS again...

I did close to 10 bios updates on Asus boards both laptop and desktop using EZFlash and a FAT32 formatted flash drive, not a single problem.
