My G74SX has an Nvidia 560M with 2GB ram. The driver that came with it is the one nvidia released back in Apr or May 6837 I think.

They've come out with newer ones that claim in some cases up to 10% improvement on some of the newer high graphics demand games.

However, they say the driver isn't compatible with hybrid battery power control.

    The G74 has that.

Do the newer drivers work or should I wait until Nvidia posts a version that works with the hybrid battery power control?

I upgraded mine to the official 285.62 WHQL without issues.

There's the beta 290.53 listed on Nvidias site. They seem to be pretty solid but i have read a few complaints about them. I guess they really benefit Skyrim.

Thanks for the reply. Good to know.

Surprising though that only one person responded.

Well, JKB0076 said pretty much everything that needed to be said, so i didn't really feel the need to answer and moved on to checking to other threads. Most people who knew the answer probably did the same as all we could do was provide the exact same answer.

I installed the beta Nvidia 290.53 drivers on mine. No issues so far. I did notice Skyrim ran a tad bit better.
