I know its an older Laptop but i need some help.

i went to upgrade my G74SX-BBK7 non-3d model - i ordered the 40Pin connector version and when i opened up my screen to replace it my connector coming from my motherboard was too big.

from all the research i've done says the G74SX non3d model laptops should have the 40pin connector.

when i go online to look at 50pin connector screens i see big warnings that say "Only for 3d Model"

Anyone have any experience with this?

I just don't want to order another screen and have it not work again

Check the number of wires on your connector that are actually soldered and match a panel to the connector, it should not matter the type.
