I recently purched a G74SX-BBK8 laptop from best buy over the holidays. The laptop is pretty amazing for the price, but the keyboard seems to stick/lag while playing Star Wars. It happens enough to become an annoyance. I was wondering if there was any drivers that fixed this problem. I haven't had any problems typing at all, just playing Star Wars.

I have read updating our BIOS and ATK drivers was a solution for previous models, not sure if this will help us though.

i don't know if that will help , but i think that the keyboard is the worst i've ever had. i ALWAYS have missfire cause i'm typing too fast, even for short setences on Lol i make some mistakes ..

Maybe "gaming " with that will result with the same problem ... ( i use a nostromo and an external mechanical keyboard so i never touch that piece of crap )

These keyboards are garbage. I've returned 1 already because of a space bar and Z key hardly working. My replacement, the shift button needs about 3000lbs of pressure to work.

It's a mechanical issue for sure and may be a deal breaker for me. I have a couple of more days to decide.

Oh , forgot to mention that i already replaced mine once , opened the laptop at first buy , check the keyboard , some keys looks like they were broken , return the laptop without even powering it.

The next one seems to not be better ... Nearly want to change to MSI ( but not enough review ... seems that i would have take this one , even with it's ugly look )

I too have had this problem and am happy to report that upgrading to the latest BIOS actually fixed it! I had gotten used to the fact that I needed to pound the keyboard, especially for words with double consonants. Now I can type away as fast as I used to without any mistakes of keys not being registered.

Ohhh what a relief!! I love this laptop in every other way, but the keyboard was a MAJOR problem. Now that they've fixed it (with a software update no less  ) I'm quite happy and glad that I didn't return it.
