    Hey everybody,

I am looking to buy something from the G74SX line up here in Canada. Mainly I am looking at the G74SX-XC1, or the G74SX-A1. I could do the G74SX-3DE if it were cheap enough, but thats not gonna happen, haha! :p

I ask this mainly because a store I frequently shop with has both for reasonable prices, but they also offer a really decent Price Match policy. They give 25% of the difference, and this includes online retailers.

So, so far the best price on each laptop I can find right now, in CAD$, is:
    G74SX-A1 - $1,799.99 (My local computer shop)
    G74SX-XC1 - $1,406.98 (Amazon.ca)
    G74SX-3DE - $1,899.99 (Newegg.ca)

Any help would be greatly appreciated! My current laptop is an older ASUS ROG laptop (G71G) and the warrenty is over, and the screen is dying... I will be turning it into a desktop after I buy my new machine/when the screen dies.

    Thanks for the help guys.

Memory Express is the local store that I will be buying from, since, for me it's local, their main location is right by my house, haha!

So far, my best bet is to get the XC1, and have them price-match with Amazon, which will reduce the price to roughly $1,385. Then I can use the savings to buy a RAM upgrade and boost the machine to 16GB :p

Also.. if anybody does find a better price on the laptops in question, OR can recommend me a better laptop (I am kind of biased to ASUS, but I am willing to look at others) don't hesitate to post here. :D

London Drugs has one in their weekly flyer for $1399 with the 2.0 GHz i7 and 12 GB RAM.

Memory Express is probably the best place for those prices if you're looking locally.

Unfortunately that one has the slower harddrive, and has a Super-multi instead of a Blu-ray, Otherwise that would be my top choice.
I think so. I trust them a lot, and they have done me well for many many years. But since they have a good price match policy, I want to find it cheaper so I can price match, yet still buy from MemEx, cause I am cheap >.>
