Hey all, does anyone know where to get the updated audio drivers for G74SX? Also shouldnt this laptop have the Dolby Headphone feature? Everything sounds really tinny without it :(

You want the "High Definition Audio Codecs" from Realtek downloads. You want the 2nd listing...."64bits Vista, Win 7 Driver only (Executable file)."

The THX TruStudioPro utility should help the headphone sound.

Hmm thats the one Im using. I guess im just a bit spoiled from having listened to stuff on my old Asus N80 for so long. Back then they were still on board with Dolby :/

EDIT: Looks like ill have to buy an Asus Xonar U3 external soundcard. For anyone else out there who realizes how terrible the soundcard in the G74 is, these U3s go for around 30-40$ and there is a 10$ mail in rebate ending dec 31. This little things just jam packed with audio awesome.

Appreciate the head's up on that -- I think the tinny speakers are the biggest knock on the g74.
