I'm looking for a power laptop like the G74SX-3DE which comes with a non-glossy screen and superb specs that is available in The Netherlands. Only thing is that it is not going to be released in The Netherlands, buying from the USA is no option either way. I don't know why they still use glossy screens in worldwide versions, a laptop is meant to be portable everywhere even outside! I contacted ASUS with the response that there are no non-reflective versions coming to the Benelux except some N models.
My question is if there are any other good alternative notebooks with a non-glossy screen that match the specs of the G74SX-3DE ( ASUS G74SX-3DE 17.3" Core i7/12GB/1.5TB/NV GTX 560M BD | eBay) Or a way to buy it in The Netherlands.
ASUS G74SX-3DE Intel Sandy Bridge Quad Core i7-2630QM (2.0GHz) Processor, 17.3" Full HD (1920x1080 @ 120Hz) "3D" LED Display, 12GB DDR3 1333MHz Memory, 1.5TB (750GB 7200RPM x 2) Hard Drive, Blu-Ray Burner, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 3GB GDDR5 Graphics Card, Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit, USB 3.0, Illuminated Keyboard & 3D Vision Kit
Thanks in advance!

How come buying from the USA is no option for you? I live in Colombia and its a pain to buy things from the USA, but i bought my G74SX-3DE through GenTechPC and they just shipped it to me, should arrive in the next days (Couldnt be more excited)...
Im sure you can arrange something with them...They have great customer service, you can customize your laptop with extra stuff and all the comments i´ve heard about them are more than positive...my experience so far has been perfect, i´ll update as soon as that monster arrives...
Look them up on google! -

Your link happen to be a listing from our eBay store. If you are looking for a 17" gaming laptop with non-glossy screen, please check the new GT780DXR laptops from MSI. You won't be able get a 3D screen, but MSI do use a matte-type screen display on the GT780 series. If there's anything, please don't hesitate to ask and we are here to help. -
First off, thanks for the quick responses!
Buying from the US is an option ofcourse, but after some investigation I've found that The Netherlands customs requires 19% turnover tax plus a customs duty of atleast 3% (propably more for notebooks) and 110,72 transport costs.
The price then would be:
1.405,99 * 1.19 = 1673,13 * 1.03 = 1723,32 + 110,72 = 1834,04
The price is alot more, second I do not know if there is an european power charge delivered with it since its from the US and third what if there is something wrong with the product or if its broke, I probably have to send it back which costs me another 110,72 and maybe some US customs pays as well. I'd like to spare myself all this trouble.
I will look into some alternatives, the GT780 has some nice specs indeed.
I am also curious about the experiences of Lak666' when hes monster arrives ^^ -

Unfortunately, you are correct on the taxes and customs as there is no way to avoid those.
As for the power supply, those come with a variable voltage supply so it will work on the higher European voltage, but you will need an adapter for the plug itself since it's the US pin configuration.
With the repairs, that machine would come with an international warranty so you will be able to have it repaired overseas.
