    G74SX-XN1 or G53SW-A1?

    It's not the graphics card alone. Everyone knows that the GTX560M is like an overclocked GTX460M that can be overclocked a bit more.
    The G74 has a larger screen. In the end, it depends on your friend's budget and screen size requirement. Go for the G74 if he has the money to spend on it. The G53 will not disappoint one bit though.

    Like FlyingFalcon said, it's not just about the 560m. The G74SX has a better design, better cooling, better keyboard, better screen quality. Of course the downside is dealing with the bulk factor since it's bigger than a regular 17" laptop. If your friend really cares about performance and budget isn't a constraint then go for the G74SX with 560 since it is faster than the 460. If he really wants to game then he's better off with Alienware laptops.

    Or Sager/Clevo/Malibal. They make good vfm gaming laptops. Better than Alienware in my opinion. But again. That's my personal point of view.
