Can anyone tell me if the G74SX-XR1 (as sold through Micro Center) has the same dual HDD support as the G74SX-A1? If so, I'd rather get the cheaper XR1 model and just buy two new HDDs and save my self some money. Thanks in advance for your response(s).

Excellent! Then I'm getting the XR1 and two 500GB Momentus XTs. Thanks again!

Do you know if it comes with a caddy for a second drive in the second bay?

Don't know, I haven't seen the XR1 edition. You can ask them.
