A few days ago my g74 started to emit a buzzing/crackling/static type sound from the speakers. I heard the g73 had a similar problem. What procedures should I take in order to correct the problem? or should i just send it to asus? Thanks

Try to open your THX TruStudio and set it to Built-In Speakers. It will lessen your volume but hopefully remove that problem you're having. :)

Have you updated to the most recent drivers? If you have the most recent drivers, have you tried reinstalling them? I know we had some report this issue and have it taken care of with a simple driver cleanup, but that hasn't always worked in the past.
