That laptop has a gimped graphics card, which means the memory bus is smaller then normal where as the sager np8130/8150/8170 does not, I reccomend getting a sager instead.

There are 3 reputable dealers here, XoticPC, Malibal, Metabox. I reccomend you look at these laptops before you finalize the purchase. (fyi the sager np8130 is only 1100 with the i7 2630, but it does not have a 1tb hdd)

    Hope this helps :)

If I'm not mistaken all the BB models have the low res (1600x900) screens and nerfed GFX cards. If I were you I'd double check everything, because it looks good.

Don't get me wrong, I have a RBBX-05 or whatever, and I love it. But I really wish i had the 1080p screen. I also have the 5870 vs the 460m or 560m in your case.

    Still a good machine though.

Is the NVIDIA geforce GTX 560m (2gb) a gimped graphic card?
You are saying that the memory bus is smaller. The cards in other laptops have only 1,5gb memory. Or is the memory bus something else?

The Sager np8130/8150 are only 15" and the 8170 is 180usd more expensive (with better cooling). I have read that the bbk7 has very good cooling system and is very quiet. Is it worth to pay the additional money? Why?

Hmm... The ASUS G73SW-XT1 has NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M (1,5GB). I may be wrong, but isn't the GTX 560M the newer card (and it has more memory).

I was considering the laptop too. Why have you chosen the G73SW-XT1 instead of the G74SX-BBK7? Because of the 1920 screen and the blu-ray?

I went with the Blu ray and the better screen , the video card in the BB system is watered down , and also the screen was a deal breaker for me ..
The extra HD isnt a concern as I have a spare to install

And also I paid no tax ... :D

I think that I will choose the G74sx-bbk7.

And if I had to decide between Sager and Asus, I would go for ASUS G74SX-XT1

    ASUS G74SX-XT1 Laptop Computer - Intel Core i7-2630QM 2.0GHz, 12GB DDR3, 500GB HDD, Blu-ray Player/DVDRW,3GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M,17.3 Full HD, Windows 7 Home Premium 64,1-Yr Warr./1-Yr Acc. at TigerDirect.com

Anyway, do you think that it is worth to pay 300USD more for the XT1? Is the performance much more better (I can't find any tests to compare). Would I see a difference in 2, 3, 4 years, or would I be forced to buy a new lap anyway?

Hmm... Now the XT1 made me thinking to get him :p Hard choice.
