So from reading the forums the g74sx from best buy is "waterd down" so iv been looking at new egg and came across this. It's the g74sx-xn1 Newegg.com - ASUS G74 Series G74SX-XN1 Notebook Intel Core i7 2630QM(2.00GHz) 17.3" 12GB Memory DDR3 1333 500GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M will this be faster then the best buy version? This will be my first gaming laptop so I don't want to make the mistake of buying it from best buy when I can spend a little more and get the real deal. Any help would be awesome

Looks good to me. The description says it's the full-fledged version 3GB videocard.

The XN1 is a 3GB GPU, so it will perform better

Hey guys, hows it going? I apologize for using your thread Truels2, but I have a similar question. I missed out on the deal for the G73JH-BST7 I wanted, luckily (or I hope its lucky) I have come across another deal on Craigslist of all places. Could you guys look at this offer Asus G74S . It seems like a good deal I figured the laptop used would sell for $1000 give or take, but this person is also adding other items all for one price, to good to be true? Also this description seems pretty vague on the model. I looked around for Asus G74S but there seem to be different models available and none of those models match the specs giving in the ad. They all seem to say 3gigs of vram for the nvidia geforce 560M. The ad only states 2gigs. Also do all models of the G74S have 3D option, and I guess the glasses are sold separately. So far from the spec this ad gives it seems the G74S-"XXXX" has better specs then the original G73JH-BST7 I was looking at. Should I go ahead and buy it? Thanks in advance for any insight on this issue.
