I'm considering buying the JX model, however have seen a lot of people complaining about the LCD in the G750s. How easy is it to replace the LCD yourself? I've had a Clevo for the past few years, so am probably spoiled a bit when it comes to accessing my laptop's internals.

Would be nice to know if it requires special tools, if I risk breaking off plastic pads or whatever, etc. Would Clevo 17" screens fit? My dead P170HM has a nice AUO lcd in it that I could swap in the G750. How about voiding warranty?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

AFAIK Asus use the same technique as others with screws around the bezel.
