Hello, I'm interested in buying the new G750JM model.

However in the UK we only have the base model with the 1TB 5400rpm hard-drive, which the reseller I'm looking at can upgrade to an Samsung SSD 500 but at a premium. (£262.80 vs a current amazon sale 37% off at £183.99)

From what I see looking at unboxing videos I do not see any installation disks comes with the package. I am not sure how I would go about getting all the drivers and windows OS to the new drive.

Could someone be kind enough to advise me how would I do the switch myself, or can link me to a guide. This and waiting for my paycheck is the only thing holding me back from buying right now. Thanks!

You can DIY (do it yourself), the recovery discs are included but can be made using the built-in BurnRecovery software inside of Windows.
Once created, then change out the drive, and use the restore discs to load OS onto it.

    G750 and G56 Gaming Notebooks
Also download Asus Backtracker its Asus restore to factory program. Since your notebook will be brand new you can just make the swap right off and then use the old drive for data.

You'll also want to come to our ROG forum I'm linking the G750 Section
Well I can't make the link work so here is the link Well it put it at the top of the reply any way this forum is all about Asus G750
