Hey guys i just noticed a few days after purchasing (about 4 days) that i have a lot of defective pixels. Do i have a right to an instant replacement from my store, or am i likely going to have to wait for a warranty claim (as in them sending it to asus)

You should be good with just the store to be honest. I returned an Asus monitor I bought from Fry's with only 1 dead pixel and they let me do an exchange. I don't know if you want to do an exchange or return, but they should let you do it. Again different stores have different policies but luckily the dude who was helping me was cool. Hope you have good luck in getting your laptop fixed
