Besides the video card, is there that really big of a difference? I'm using a real old Dell for school and I really need to get a new laptop ASAP. Is it worth the wait for the JH till the end of august?

The JH is slightly thicker than the JX and JW and from what i've read there will even be intake fans. Also, the JH has 2 extra mSata ports which the JX and JW is lacking :D

There shouldn't be any major difference between the two other than the video card.

You are looking at 1.6-2.0x the performance.

So I guess it's worth to wait another month for the JH I assume if its going to be 2x as powerful?

I wouldn't say it will be 2x as powerful. Tests on notebookcheck.net show it at roughly 40% additional performance, depending on the game. The only visual effect you should have to turn off in the most demanding games (Crysis 3 withstanding) is anti aliasing on the G750JX from what I can tell.

Notebookcheck use different machines and drivers to test the cards so is not a source to be used to compare cards.

    Ah.

I mean I will be using it to play games here and there, prepping myself for GTA 5 for the PC max settings for sure, but for now until that happens it's just going to be used for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign CC.

The JH is going to cost quite a bit more, you get the gaming performance for your cash, but it's going to be heavier to cool the beast that is the 780M so you need to decide if that's worth it to you.

The rear part of the model number is the actual configuration. There is usualy a different one for every market and also a different one for several shops. For example on the G73JH there is a bestbuy version and also a "normal" edition, which have different model numbers.
So if you see two different models, then they probably have different hardware configuration, like memory, harddrives, accessories, display, ....

In the past there have also been more subtle differences like bestbuy versions missing some vram and having a narrower memory bus as a result too.
