Hi All, can anyone shed some light on how the LP173WF4-SPD1 LCD is mounted in the G751? The LCD has 4 tabs with 2 screw holes on each arranged near the 4 corners of the screen:

Now is the LCD secured to the back of the screen cover via these holes or is it secured to the hinges via 4 screws on left/right side of the LCD?

I got the below picture from pcper but it's too slow to see clearly how it is attached:

Can someone pls confirm how the LCD is attached to the screen cover pls?

OT: That is one messy desk for taking apart a notebook

Well in the picture you can see those 4 tabs, there may be screws on the side too to help improve rigidity.

That's just it, I don't see any screws in those 4 tabs though it maybe wishful thinking. I can see screws at the base of the hinges, black circles.
The 4 tabs look to be either empty or are filled by 8 screws of a lighter color than the screws at the base of the hinges.

There there are not and the bracket is soldered round the edge of the display instead and they are not required.

The top screws will secure it to the lid, the bottom screws will secure it to the hinge mechanism.

The hinges extend from the bottom all the way up the sides to the top. The hinge is attached to the back cover via screws top and bottom.
But are the hinges attached to the screen via screws on each side eg 4 screws on left/via going into holes on left/right side of screen?
The spd1 is a thin screen 4-6mm and I wasn't sure if that was thick enough to include screw holes on the side of the screen panel.
