I think I am looking at buying one of these soon as soon as I get a loan so I don't have to drain my savings. I was curious as to how many of the 'issues' the G751 has had have been fixed assuming a given laptop was manufactured recently. As I understand it the left side usb ports are still a problem but what about other issues such as the screen bleeding, ect?

Can you list all of the issues that you are concerned with G751?
Screen bleeding is common on laptops, more or less, especially in a dark room.
Where do you see USB issues with G751?

There were some reported issues with the left usb ports dropping devices, it may be worth keeping an eye on the replacement series the G752 and seeing what people think.

Those are the two main issues that I know of, the sound bit was another one but I've clearly seen threads about that particular issue being fixed.

When are the G752's dropping? My current laptop the fan has broken so I'm hoping to order something within the next week. That's also presuming they're offering one between $1000-$1500 as the model I'm looking at for the moment is on sale for $1250 or so.

Can't share release dates, maybe it's worth calling up a few places and seeing what they can do.

It could have been fixed by BIOS update sometimes.
Regarding the pricing discounts, it doesn't hurt to ask around.
