I have been getting this error sporadically the past few power cycles and now no amount of turning it off and holding the power button is fixing it. I have tried intervals of 15, 30, and 60 seconds to avail. As it stands this laptop is almost two years old and, of course, no longer under warranty.

What's even more baffling is the fact that the battery icon on the lid is displaying green as if the laptop is indeed charging. It is not trashing my fps while gaming either, which is what usually happens when it is not plugged in.

I am no tech genius but I wasn't about to go poking around the internals to see if I can physically take out the battery and put it back in - but is this the next step?

Or is this one to take into the shop and pay a lot of money for a maybe not really fix?
