A while back I had a friend over LANing it up with me and he had a problem with his game so I checked it out and realized that my monitor is pretty dim compared to his, but it wasn't such an issue. Now, playing Rainbow Six Siege I am increasingly coming aware that my monitor just doesn't have the right settings that allow me to see things well enough.

I am trying to play around with the contrast and gamma settings (leaving the brightness to in game) and have had some good results with (leaving brightness at 50%) with setting my gamma around 1.1-1.2 and playing around with 55-65% contrast.

I was wondering what you guys have for your settings if you have bothered at all to tweak them? I would like to bring up the brightness in order to see smaller, darker things better without washing out the colours.

Any suggestions? I really have no idea what I am doing. Maybe I should be messing with brightness as well? I keep playing with the sliders and sometimes it looks better but I can notice that certain levels of detail are either missing or prominent and washed out colours....
