Anybody else experience this issue? The touchpad keeps freezing for a few seconds randomly. I believe mine is running stock drivers. Is there some fix for this?

Never had it and I tested a few so far. You could try the Synaptics if you want. I did and it worked just as good.

Oh, try to disable Asus Smart Detector from Pad's settings.

What does the Smart Detector do?

    ASUS Smart Detector
Enable the Smart Detector feature to help prevent accidental cursor movement. To activate pointing, press one of the buttons, or begin pointing in the designated Activation Region. While typing, pointing is automatically suppressed unless the pointing begins in the Activation Region.
By default the Activation Region is located in the top-center of the TouchPad. To adjust the location of the Active Area, click and drag the circle. To adjust the size of the Active Area, choose one of the pre-set sizes, or choose Customize and specify a size by adjusting the slider.

But this made my pad very slow, almost like the "freezing" you have. Without the Detector it works perfect.
