I have been having this issue for a month now. All was working fine when I restarted and the laptop showed no display. I reseated the rams and it worked. The next day same thing happened. I did the same. It worked. After that it happened again. No internal display but external display was working fine. GPU was working fine on external display. I tried all I could. Sent in for repair at local shop. (No ASUS in my country.) The repair guy tried another screen and screen cable but issue remained. He concluded it's some malfunction in the gpu and that I should use the external display. There is no GTX 660m GPU available in my country. I was using the internal display. Suddenly the laptops display popped up while booting. It did not pop up from the start at the bios but halfway through windows login screen I guess. I am using it and it seems ok. Didn't restart yet. But I feel the display will go when the restart happens. While playing in this session the screen went black and I had to login windows again not boot. My game was running where I left it and online session wasn't broken. It felt like something just stopped on the laptop but the whole system did not shutdown. Please help me fix this. I can open up my laptop as far as you like. I can take apart the GPU too.

I feel it's dust that is causing this somehow. If you have suggestions or steps I can take to assure and find the problem, please list them out. I will be really thankful if anyone can get me out of this hit and miss game.

The laptop is a G75vw with i7 and GTX 660m. If you need more details I will provide that. Thanks guys.

Just a note, you can edit your posts if you want to make changes. If you start creating duplicates the mods will get unhappy.

Well first off if you still have warranty, it would be best to RMA it for repairs.
That said, check out this video, it will show you how to dissemble your G75.
You could have loose connections or defective cable or a defective screen
If your NB works on an external monitor.

If your not working on an external then you could have a defective GPU, These NB use a proprietary GPU Card, I'm not sure how you would go about purchasing one with out sending your unit to Asus Repair?

This is why splitting your question among two threads is bad as in the other one he explains the external works fine.

Yea I replied before I realized that he had posted twice, I thought one of the Mod's would have merged them or deleted one of them.
