My meter on my desktop showing my GHz is sitting at 2.40 GHz but I'm not playing a game, just have a web browser opened. I just noticed this, and I have just rebooted. It usually sits at 1.73 GHz when I'm not playing a game. I opened task manager and exited some programs, but it didn't help.
Is this an issue? The fans aren't blowing harder or anything, and my CPU's are all in between 55-62 Celsius for temperature at this very moment.
Okay, monitoring it for a bit it's dipping down to 1.87 GHz, then going back up to 2.0 GHz, etc. Is this something to worry about? Imean, it doesn't seem like an issue to me, I'm doing a scan with Malware Bytes just to be sure, but I don't think anything is actually wrong. Can someone clarify?
Okay sorry for triple-posting but apparently I had a web page open that was playing several videos, my headphones were in so I had no idea. Sorry for the confusion, the issue has resolved itself!

lol. Good its solved. CPU usage varies a lot on G73 due to turbo boost so don't worry. It never stays at 1-2 speeds but constantly changes.

I have about 1GB of ram's worth of gadgets running so my CPU jumps around like a kangaroo
dont worry to much about turbo mode it just makes sure you never slow down its a classy little feature.
