I'm considering buying ROG GL with gtx 1070 and i7 but can't decidde between 15 and 17 inch.
I don't need the laptop to be very portable. I plan to use it at the desk or on the couch, around the house mainly.
The bigger screen is obvoiusly a pro, but are there any cons?
Does bigger footprint mean lower temps and less noise under stress?

If you don't need portability just buy an Alienware 15/17 since those offer better cooling than the Strix models. Or the Asus G752

yeah. 702 has hdmi 2.0 and thunderbolt, so you dont need stupid dongles if you ever use 4k TV.
702 is pretty much better in every way, while only being a little bit larger than the 502.
But I read on amazon some 702 might have keyboard malfunction bug.
But that's the 702VM model, not sure if it affects 702VS.
Not sure if the thunderbolt is a x2 or x4 lane.
The 702vm has a gimped thunderbolt chip.Last edited: Jul 29, 2017Totemsky likes this.
