    GPU upgrade on G74 ?

    Hello !

    I have a question , from what i read , the MXM card don't fit in Asus G74 cause pins are differents etc . , so for now , it's impossible.


    BUT , i just saw that Asus made an update on G74 and new models have a new CPU in it. Does that mean that , if in a near future , Asus do an new G74 with for ex , GTX 580M, will it mean that thoses cards will fit in our G74 ?

    Do you think , in something like 1 year , we will be able to find thoses card on eBay or such ?

    The G74 has the GPU integrated right into the motherboard. It has no MXM slot.

    who knows, maybe they will upgrade it. I think if they do, it will be GTX 570M.

    Yep probably they will refresh their line with newer kepler platform being released on march '12.
    I hope they stick an mxm slot in it, and dont use any crippled gpu along with it.
