Download TechPowerUp GPU-Z v0.5.9 | techPowerUp
This only works for Fermi and Southern Islands card.
Basically, Higher is better. More details can be seen in the screenshot.
I'll start with my G73 GTX 460m.
(GF106, revision A1)
ASIC quality: 76.5%

Post your overclocks as well. Mine is stable at around 810 MHz at stock clocks, and did 880 FurMark and Mafia 2 stable on 0.9625v. However, shutdowns occur. -
G53SW, GTX460M
86.0%
790/1546/1580
800mhz isn't even 100% stable
With 1V vbios I can get 824mhz but then temp reach 93°C, GPU throttle down and I get worse performances after a few minutes... -
Mine is 76% with GTX 560M

What does ASIC Quality measure?
It gives me 81% no matter default clocks, gaming clocks, or bench clocks. -
I got 84.3% on G73SW-3DE GTX460M. But 92.6% with GPU-Z 0.5.8, it's strange. Have you guys tried 0.5.8 with different readings? BTW, I can overclock to 830/1660/1480 stable, 850 core or 1500 memory will get the driver to corrupt and recover to default clock.
-
That's pretty much what happens for me, get 92.0% in 5.8, but get 84.0% in 5.9. Wonder if maybe it is just because it is more accurate this time, or how they are detecting it is still not all that accurate.
I'm undervolting and running default core, but 675mhz memory. I have overclocked in the past before the under volt, and I was hitting 850core/750mem. Overclocking with the undervolt, I can achieve 775core/700mem fairly easy, but haven't really tried to find the max.

After seeing everyone's result...I felt a bit upset
Almost everyone's ASIC quality has a percentage higher than 80 except mine
-
Seeing how barely overclockable my card is compared to others and my strange idle artifacting problem (see this thread : http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...0-asus-g53sw-xn1-artifact-problem-screen.html ) although I have the best percentage in this thread, I don't think you should worry about it as long as your card behave normally.
-
I am more upset than you. Did you see my score, it's only 76%. Yesterday i have changed my HDD to Momentus XT thinking that WEI, 3DMark06 etc will be at least a bit higher. But everything remains same though programs loads little faster. I had a flickering or hiccup(whatever you call it) problem while launcing NFS-THE RUN, the problem still exist. I dont know what causing this....has anyone with GTX460M having this problem?
-
mine is 76.1%
G73JW-A1 -
Hi Lvldeath, just a quick question- does your machine produce sound as you get 2 HDD? I had one default for my g53sx, but recently insterted momentus xt which is primary hdd now. I am thinking what will be noise level. So i wanna compare it with you
-
Kinda feel dumb but ... where do you press to have the score ?
-
well, the only "noise" I hear is the one that the fans make.
the G73 machine is cool and silent.
on the top left corner. -
Thx !
Got 78.4 on my G74SX -
Is left side fan running all the time? Cause i think my sound is coming from that side
-
can't remember,
i think both are working - the speed and noise depends on the temparature.
i'll check this out when i get home from work
-
81.3%, not bad I guess.
-
Hi Catzoo, is your GPU DDR3 (From your signature), shouldn't it be DDR5?

G73SW-A1. What is this, exactly?
-
67.4%
Ouccchh. To be fair, this is at a high overclock and overvolt on a desktop card. -
Yep man you're right , seems like there's a small mistake
-

Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification.
-
Have yet to see a solid real life link between ASIC and quality of the GPU...
-
Ditto. Even though mine says 67.4%, I have one of the best OC'ing 460's I've seen.
-
How do they even calculate it? Have not found any info. It might as well be a huge prank, lol.
GPU-Z 0.5.9 is released: share your ASIC quality
