    Hi,

I haven't seen that box change from - in it. Should I not be seeing any rpm's there with that tool? If not, what tool will show the fan RPM? I assume maybe there isn't one due to it being a laptop and all. But what about the exhaust fans? Is there something that shows the speed of them/it? New to this beast and want to make sure I've checked all things as I only have till thursday to return it (thinking of getting the BB warranty for 1 yr so I am covered if anything dies/fails on it). I have coretemp, gpu-z, the amd gpu tool, hwinfo32 installed. What should I look for specifically to check everything out and what temps should I expect to be seeing? On GPU-z I was looking at temps of ~65c on upper reading and bottom 3 were in the 50's to low 60's if I remember right.
It seems to be working ok other than not running Furmark without *SOD.

    Thanks in advance.

its normal. Thos tool detect the fan speed of the gpu. But in asus notebook, both fan are control by the motherboard it self (aka asus). The fan are not controled directly by the videocard and those tools are pooling the videocard so thats is why you see "incorrect" number.

Josea - Thanks, I'll go look for the widget so It's on the system and slamming/wagnard thanks for letting me know I basically won't see anything (and wagnard - Bleach ;-) can't wait for new episodes finally coming end of the month). I hope to be running it tonight for awhile to see how it fairs sans cooling pad and will look at a couple of them as optional to alleviate heat from it on long periods of use. I normally play on my desktop but will use the lappy off/on as well (mainly for audio but minimal gaming).

Slamming, Wagnard, Thanks a lot for the info. I don't worry about fan speeds at all (maybe I should), just check temps once in a while with AMD GPU clock tool. Does ASUS NB probe show the correct speed for the CPU fan? Mine shows low and quite???
    Thanks, josea

    gpu observer doesn't detect 10.1.
