Just curious if anyone else has only experienced the GSOD when using Furmark? I only got this laptop yesterday and have played games such as Empire Total War and Day of Defeat Source for hours without any crashing. Yet, Furmark crashed it within a minute. I'm using the latest 10.7 drivers. Am I in the clear from the GSOD otherwise?

Also, I've had the GSOD experience on my desktop when I had an ATI 5770 card. All my games crashed within 30 minutes to the GSOD. I tried all the ATI drivers and it still happened. It got so bad I couldn't even run streaming video without the computer crashing. I downgraded back to my old 4850 in the end.

Nope. While on 10.7a I got a GSOD after 9 hours of gaming and 2 hrs of Furmark :) (over 2 nights!) I'd say you'll get a GSOD while in a game eventually.

Second that. Same thing here - if furmark crashes on me on some driver, so do the games eventually.

Starcraft 2 and WoW will GSOD on anything but stock drivers.

Starcraft is really the best tho for the GSOD

I've been playing SC2 for the past 2 days on 10.7a and FurMark also runs stably. I'll try a 2+ hour FurMark run over the weekend when I'm not playing any games.

Yes, I'm running 209. Although I doubt that has anything to do with my stability.

When you play, are you also recharging your battery, or is it always recharged?

It's always charged, I read your post about your experience with FurMark while your battery was charging. Honestly, I think my batch of G73s were winners. However, I'm not happy with my GPU temps so I will be repasting next week when I get my ICD in.
