I am trying to decide on which of the two new laptops I should get. I want to give HDR a go so my choices are between the new GX531 and the GX701. Given both are 1080p 144hz I was wondering if there is any benefit at all when it comes to temperatures if I go with the bigger model? Usually bigger means better cooling but these are both very thin laptops so I am curious if the same still applies. If there is no benefit to cooling what benefits would the GX701 have over its smaller brother other than the bigger screen?

I'm looking forward to seeing more thermal results from the GX701 as well.

I do feel that the cooling will undoubtedly be marginally better due to the system being bigger overall – bigger air intake and outtake vents = more room for air to flow.

Well i just got my Zephyrus S GX701GXR which using i7-9750H, RTX2080 MQ, 32gb ddr4, 1TB nvme, so far when turbo mode and tested using 3DMark benchmark my CPU temp never above 75c and GPU maxing at 68c (I live in indonesia which is a rather hot country)
but my concern is about M2 slot, 1 is too little for 17.3" laptop
    anything else are great

i have G531GV i7 9750H & 2060 RTX 6GB if fans on full the cooling quiet good for a ultra book. thermal issues for CPU if fans not full ie I also have a HELIOS 500 i7 8750H @ 1070 GTX 8GB but its a huge 17" monster and cinebench r20 results are better on that.
