I have Asus GX701GX and last week my keyboard stop to work + lights

I sent the laptop to Asus, they update BIOS to the last (308) and it's fixed the keyboard + lights.

but the side lights not working to me

If I'm looking under the air vents I can see the lights working but very very low brightness
    [IMG]

there is no brightness option in Aura Sync

any chance that thoose air vents lights are strips?

and maybe they are dead to me?
to know if it's the reason for very low brightness

In Armoury Crate I click on Aura after Aura settings ... I have there Brightness option , with that one I can set the brightness of everything, the logo, keyboard and the LED strip in the front, under this I can separate turn on - off the keyboard and the zones, only this 2 options... but I have other version of the ne notebook /gl704gw/ so maybe you are right that there is no separated brightness option for each zone ...
hmmm Strange ... If I would you, would try to reinstall the whole windows from he hidden partition, because the people from asus will do the same and if it´s sofware related problem you save at least the shipping time there and back etc. ... and if it´s hardware problem hopefully they will do the repair job right....

after they update to me the BIOS I received the laptop without the side lights at full brightness, maybe it's some setting in the BIOS turned off after they update.
but I'm afraid to play with the BIOS

if no other option, I will send to them again

week two but hope it's be fixed

You don´t need to be afraid, there is an option in the Bios what resets everything back to the factory settings. So if you don´t play with overclocking there is no danger ... the other settings you can set back with 2 click´s. By the way I don´t think is a Bios settings problem.
Here is one easy tutorial video how to install the windows, it is really easy. Maybe I can change your mind :) There is everything step by step so you can´t make nothing wrong.

Yes I reset the windows few times, I know how to reset

but it's not help, at reset every light is working but the vents lights still not at full brightness.

maybe some old driver is missing
or yes it's hardware RGB problem.

do you know if the reset is made from the hidden partition?

If the reset is made from the C drive so maybe the hidden partition has backups of old drivers?
and then I can take backup as disk, and reset from the disk.
