    ASUS G73JW-XT1 Laptop Computer - Intel Core i7-740QM 1.73GHz, 8GB DDR3, 500GB HDD, Blu-ray Player/DVDRW, 17.3 Full HD, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Black, 2-Year Warranty, 1-Year Accidental at TigerDirect.com

2 year warranty and full 30 day return, NO restocking fee.

Is this a good deal? Seems better than the other at gentech or whatever they were called.

I did have to pay tax though.

Also compared it to this one at best buy who does have a 15% restocking fee and it scares me if I have any immediate problems or dislikes.
    Asus - Laptop / Intel® Core™ i7 Processor / 17.3" Display / 6GB Memory / 640GB Hard Drive - Black - G73JH-BST7

NOt sure which is the better deal but the tiger one has a little better configuration but for 300 bucks more.

    Let's put it this way:

There are things in this world that are more painful than Asus's RMA service, like torture, or getting jabbed in the eye.

When you actually do get ahold of customer support rep, they are generally very kind. But that's pretty much the extent of the good vibes.

You got an excellent price. I gave found Asus support to be excellent. RMAs take awhile, but that is how it is w/many companies. You shouldn't need to RMA it though bc the JW has fewer issues than the JH.

Never fails how some people LOVE one thing and others HATE it. Oh well, nature of the beast I guess. Well, at least I'll have them side by side to test for a couple of weeks.

I take it the one I have HAS backlit keyboard and I can change colors and how do I go by putting a HD in the optical bay and is this something that's quickly done or does it involve more in depth surgery?

Ie, can I just pop a third drive in and out or not?

Any problems with the rubber coating getting crummy looking?
