    Hi,

I bought a G73 from Best Buy a little over a year ago. It did OK until about 2 months ago. It then started having issues with the graphics. I thought maybe it was a software issue. I thought maybe something I installed messed up the drivers or something. So a few days ago I erased everything and reinstalled the original factory software from the recovery discs. Nothing has changed. I am still having the same problems. There are 2 major problems. One is lots of random pixels. I've tried to upload some jpegs as attachments to give you some examples, but lots of random pixels appear all over the place. The other is more difficult to explain but easy to see on the pictures. Whenever we play a 3d game like City of Heroes it looks like a lot of the polygons are just out of whack. Take a look at the attached pictures to see what I'm talking about. It looks like polygons just appear out of nowhere.
Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? Is this a hardware or software issue? I assume it must be hardware since I just reinstalled all the software.

    Thanks for any assistance.

Check GPU Temps first please - > HWINFO - > Sensors. Idle and Load if above 100oC repaste. Also test by plugging your JH into an external screen to rule out GPU.

That looks like a hardware issue to me probably the LCD.

I see crap like that when I go too far on an overclock. :D

You may have an issue with your TIM/memory thermals. If you don't know how to redo the paste and pads, then have it looked at / RMA.

RMA it now imo. Dont wait. Sounds like your gpu is on its way to biting the dust.
