    i'm getting really good temps after applying AS5! i'm so happy hehe!

    furmark after 30 minutes, stays at 87 !

    idling at 56! its just incredible !


    My G73 is perfect now ! finally lol !


    If it wasn't for this Forum and this community! we all would be doomed! rofl :D

    idling at 56?? really.. i got the stock thermal paste and getting 60 idle... hmm.. i guess you could get better than that.. not sure though... im gonna do repaste tis friday.. i got both AS5 and ICD7, but might use the ICD7 as I did poll and most of users here voted for ICD7.. anyways,congrats for that.. u did a good job.. :D

    YEah ICD7 is better indeed! but since i had bought AS5 a few months ago, didn't bother getting ICD7 !

    the only thing that pisses me off sometimes, is that damn crackling noise that comes and goes from time to time ! but its all good!

    on the CPU, i made a single line and applied a little dot on the heatsink...

    on the GPU i applied a pea size drop on the gpu and a little bit on the heatsink..

    i cleaned the cpu and heatsink with q-tips and nail polish remover.

    >.> I just bought one of these off a co worker and he swears he never repasted his laptop. 56C at idle and 85c at load, I'll probably do a repaste with some IC7 in the near future, but right now the temps seem really good to me. Guess it must have just been bad luck with people that had overheating problems.

    nice temps, i used to get really cool temps when i got this laptop...

    but as time went by, the original Thermal paste got weak or melted i don't really know, but the laptop became really hot..

    that's really strange, because that's not supposed to happen at least not with good thermal paste.

    conclusion? Asus used cheap thermal paste.

    don't worry! it's not that hard to repaste....

    just be careful and patient, and u will manage to get it pasted easily ( i was tin' my pants while opening it up )
