    Hi.
I just powered on my notebook from hibernate. I noticed there was a thin green vertical line going smack through the middle of the screen. Oddly enough it went away after a restart, but I dont want this to persist in the future. Any clue what it could be?
Also i just had my LCD screen replaced like last week. It is a brand new LCD which is about 8 days old. SO could this be the GPU?

I experience some screen-like issues when trying to find a stable OC for my GPU, no green line though, but I think it's possible that it was a GPU hiccup since if it were a screen issue, I don't think the green line would go away. :)

Yeah it was weird because the green line showed up during the ROG startup screen but went away by the login. I don't see any line right now unless I'm blind, but i checked carefully and theres nothing. Before it was really noticeable.

Don't worry about it, it was probably just a GPU hiccup or a power surge (though I think a power surge would probably do a lot more damage lol). If it happens every time though, or if the green line doesn't go away, then you have a problem. As of now though, it was probably just a hiccup.

Could be a driver initialization error recovering from hibernation

Ok now i have a blue vertical line in the middle of my screen guys, the exact same spot the green one was. It's not going away..
It wasn't there earlier today. Just another startup from hibernate and it appeared. A restart didnt fix it!

Could it possibly be a bad/loose connection on the LCD when they repaired it?

Also its not visible on a white background...

Odd. Have you tried a fresh install w/ different drivers? You could rule out completely any software problems by doing that.

Have you tried an external monitor? Is it visible in a screenshot?

It could be a bad LCD, or it could be a loose/bad LVDS cable. That cable is located under the left hinge cover if you want to press down on it to make sure it's well seated.

Yeah its the LCD for sure. Connected to a tv and it was fine. Which is weird though, this is a "new" LCD which is ONLY 8 DAYS OLD! It was RMA'd when i had blotches on my old LCD. Did they give me a refurbished one or something?

What laptop is this? Try checking forums of your actual laptop model and see if there are others with this sort of problem.
