Gsod returns and Rage as weird lunch error

hi all for some reason whenever i try to launch Rage a blue console appears and then a huge error comes also after months without any gsod the computer suddenly decided to start gsoding all over again not longer than 2 days since i started playing bf3 beta does anyone have any idea on this problem?

I had the same issue the first time I installed the RAGE performance driver. The issue is that that driver requires a reboot after install for RAGE to work and you didn't reboot.

I had the same problem, and the game ran fine after I restarted. If you are getting GSODs, check your vBIOS. I'm running the OD2 vBIOS on Chastity's page and have not gotten any GSODs.

 

Patch 1 is out btw, guys.

 

just somethign iforgot to mention if i try to install the rage driver it gives me a blue screen

 

remove your existing ATI drivers, run driversweeper to clean out any remnants, and install the latest driver.

Also, if you haven't upgraded your vBIOS follow the sticky instructions on how to do that, and get the latest OD2 vBIOS from Chastity's Driver Reference page.

 

my fear is that my computer will get cricked cause last time i tried upgrading the bios it bricked and i was following asus instructions given to me by phone i ended up having to send it to rma

 

... so what you're saying is, you don't want to change it to fix it, but want to know what to do in order to fix it.

 

if you say so it seems to me i just said i was worried it might happen. also i wont just do something to my pc cause someone says so i am searching around the web to see what others that tried said

 

i am following the chastity gsod blues thread but i didnt understand if the vbios file was already in rar provided or if i hve to download it and put in the drive

 

the d/l is a complete set, has USB Creator, dos boot files, and the 3 files for the flash. The OD pack has te original flash plus modded flash. Fix_OD2 has just the 3 flash files

 

thanks i already flashed is working good so far btw rage launches correctly now but it seems there is extreme texture pop in and black spots on the textures i tried some of the config files out there but non fixed it so far

 

forget it i fixed it
