Ok, I know the HDD capacity for this laptop is 1 TB.

Now, does that go off of the retail HDD size or the actual HDD size?

And what happens if you go over the 1 TB limit?

Where are you getting over 1TB 2.5" hard drives from?

Oh... I thought the 1 TB cap meant total storage space, not how much each caddy can hold. My bad XD

So my g73 can have up to 2 TB of storage right? one for each slot.

Shouldnt be a problem i cant speak for raid0 bootability but 2tb+ problems aside 2 single 1tb drives should be fine.

Good info as far as the thread goes 9.5mm 1tb drives exist now so its better than it used to be. Asus really took some features out of its lineup...

Thanks guys. I don't think I'll ever use 2TB. I was just concerned cause I thought the 1TB cap was for the combined HDD space. Glad to know it's per unit, so I can go above 1TB total.
